Our Story

Our story is one that speaks of God’s goodness and faithfulness. He has been by our side through the valleys, on the mountaintops, and everywhere in between. He has always been for us, never against us.  He has been faithful to provide in every season. If we needed strength, He provided. If we needed wisdom, He provided. If we needed comfort, He provided. And He will do the same for you.

We desire to encourage you to stand, to endure, to believe, to never give up, and to walk by faith, not fear.  The message we are sharing is not anything new, in fact it’s been around for over two thousand years.

We are a company that desires to love God first, and to love all of our neighbors, even the ones that do not see things the way we do.

We believe that God is for us, not against us, and through our faith based apparel collections and premium walking sticks we hope that you are reminded and encouraged that God desires to walk with you on this journey.  We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that He is the true Good Shepherd.

The Beginning

In 1999, I packed up my car and headed west. Colorado here I come! I had just graduated from college and was ready to take on the world. Filled with hope, walking by faith, and believing that God had a good plan for me.  A new journey was before me and nothing could hold me back!

I was correct about one thing.  A journey was before me, but it looked nothing like what I had imagined.  My plans fell apart and life took an unexpected turn.  Not long after arriving in Colorado, Dad and I found ourselves homeless, living in the National Forest.  Three months, three dollars, hundreds of miles from the place I called home.

Prior to becoming homeless, we had started making walking sticks.  We called our little business Colorado Hiker, the Stick with Personality.  We made walking sticks that were one of a kind and full of character.  During our time living in the forest we sold the sticks to help keep food in the cooler and gas in the vehicles.

It was a season in my life where God proved Himself faithful, proved to me that He was my provider, proved that His word was true, His promises were for me, and He was with me and for me.  He taught me to truly walk by faith, not fear.  To only believe.  To endure.  To be totally dependent upon Him.

Every walking stick is a reminder of God's goodness, His faithfulness, and that He wants to walk with me, and you, on this journey.
